Lost attachment?

An attachment refers to the little white composite mounds placed on your teeth to help increase the aligner’s “grip”.

Attachments aid tooth movement, however your teeth will continue to move without them and you can continue to change your aligners as planned.

If you do lose an attachment, please send us an email at info@edgeclifforthodontics.com.au to let us know which tooth it has detached from and we will let you know if replacement is required.

Lost or broken aligner?

Always keep your Invisalign aligners in their case to avoid losing them. If you lose or break an aligner and had already been wearing it for a few days, you can try moving to the next one in the series.

Make sure to wear this next set for a full two weeks even if your wear time is normally less than this.

If the next aligner doesn’t fit or is causing pain, please call us on (02) 9327 2800 or send an email to info@edgeclifforthodontics.com.au.

Please have the details of your emergency ready, including which number aligner(s) you have lost and how long you had been wearing them.

Aligner not fitting?

If your aligners are not ‘seating’ correctly, or they seem to be loose on your teeth and there is a gap between your tooth and the edge of the aligner, please take a photo of the problem and send it to info@edgeclifforthodontics.com.au.
